The Channels screen already has buttons to connect TikTok and YouTube. However, both platforms must approve the COREBIZS app before it can serve many businesses. Read the status below before connecting.
Current status
- TikTok: TikTok's business messaging is still in trial, and TikTok must grant COREBIZS a special permission. COREBIZS is waiting for it.
- YouTube: Google must verify the COREBIZS app and raise its daily allowance. The allowance is very low for now and shared by every business. COREBIZS is waiting for Google.
While a channel is not turned on, its connect button says COREBIZS has not turned on this channel for this system. Message COREBIZS for help. Ask COREBIZS before using these two channels with real customers.
TikTok: before you start
- Your business's TikTok account is a TikTok Business account.
- The account is not registered in Europe, the UK or Switzerland (TikTok does not offer business messaging there yet).
- The account accepts messages from everyone.
- Your COREBIZS account is an owner or manager, with two-step verification turned on.
Connect TikTok
- Open Channels and press Add another channel.
- Under TikTok, press Connect TikTok. The button changes to Opening TikTok….
- On TikTok's page, sign in with your business's TikTok Business account.
- Leave every permission ticked, then press "Allow".
- You come back to the Channels screen with TikTok connected. The AI assistant now receives new messages.
If you unticked some permissions, the screen says TikTok is connected, but not every permission was allowed: the assistant can only answer messages or only comments. Tap "Reconnect" and leave every permission ticked to use both. To fix it, press Disconnect, then connect again with every permission ticked.
TikTok: what the assistant does
TikTok messages
- The customer must write first.
- The assistant and staff can reply within 48 hours of the customer's last message.
- While the customer has not answered, the business can send at most 10 messages in a row. It starts over when the customer writes again.
TikTok video comments
- The system reads new comments about every 5 minutes, on your 10 most recent videos (posted in the last 30 days).
- Only new comments after the connection are answered, not older ones.
- Each comment becomes a conversation labelled Public comment.
- The reply is posted publicly under the comment, kept short, starting with an "🤖 AI assistant:" label.
- Replies never contain a phone number or email. When needed, the assistant invites the customer to message privately or hands over to staff.
- Comments are only answered within 7 days.
YouTube: before you start
- Your Google account manages your business's YouTube channel.
- YouTube has no private messages. The assistant only answers comments under videos and questions in live streams.
Connect YouTube
- Open Channels and press Add another channel.
- Under YouTube, press Connect YouTube. The button changes to Opening Google….
- On Google's page, sign in with the account that manages the YouTube channel.
- Tick the permission to manage YouTube comments, then press "Allow".
- You come back to the Channels screen with YouTube connected. The AI assistant now answers new comments under your videos.
If the Google account has no YouTube channel, the screen says This Google account has no YouTube channel. Sign in with the account that manages the shop's channel.
YouTube: what the assistant does
YouTube video comments
- The system reads new comments about every 15 minutes.
- Replies are posted publicly under the comment, with an AI assistant label, never with the customer's contact details.
- Each channel can answer about 15 comments a day.
Live stream questions
- While the channel is live, the assistant reads the live chat and only picks up viewers' questions.
- The conversation is labelled YouTube live chat.
- The reply appears publicly in the live chat, up to 200 characters, starting with @ and the viewer's name.
- A question can only be answered within 10 minutes. After that, or when the stream has ended, it goes to staff.
YouTube daily allowance
YouTube gives each channel a number of units per day. Reading new comments costs 1 unit, each reply 50 (20 in a live stream).
- See today's use under Usage, on the YouTube today card. It shows the units used and about how many replies are left. See Usage.
- When units run out: the assistant stops reading comments and replies are passed to staff.
- Units are renewed every day at midnight Pacific time (about 2 or 3 pm Vietnam time).
When a channel has a problem
If TikTok or YouTube shows Problem or Access withdrawn, see Reconnect.
